DARLING HEIGHTS AND REDCLIFFE SCHOOLS

Interior Engineering were engaged to provide mechanical, electrical, fire and hydraulic services design documentation for new buildings at Darling Heights and Redcliffe State School. While the Darling Heights State School project was delivered as a ‘traditional’ project with arkLab architecture as the principal consultant, DETE decided to award Redcliffe State School to Kane Construction under a Design-and-Construct (D&C) contract.

The Darling Heights brief was to provide a new Music Block building to cater for the school’s music program and also the refurbishment of their existing Prep and ESL buildings.

At Redcliffe State School, a new 2 storey general learning area building (GLA) was provided to accommodate the influx of students under the new year 7 high school intake.

For both projects, Interior Engineering were involved from early design development through to practical completion. Interior Engineering successfully adjusted the documentation delivery methodology to suit the traditional and D&C project styles.
